The Reporting Genre Of Chinese Sport Newspaper

Newspaper plays an important role in the mass communication as the basic form of mass media. The prosperity of digital media and network media brings great pressure as well as opportunities to the development of the print media. It is a question worth pondering how the print media seize the opportunities to promote their development.The thesis consists of two kinds of study method:the law of literature data and text analysis and the text analysis is our main method, which we use to study on the sports newspaper. Through the study we found the sports newspaper not only complies with the basic reporting laws of general newspaper, but also has its own characteristics during its news reporting. The results of our study are as follows:firstly, the content genre of sports newspaper is a unity of symbols and habits, which is relatively fixed with changing scope. The content genre of sports newspaper is the production of the interaction between the sports newspaper and the social environment and its culture background. The reporting of sports games and sport figures on sports newspapers takes on new features in our country:for one hand the reporting of sport games is becoming in-depth reporting, for the other the reporting of sport figures focuses on the detailed descriptions. The sports newspaper strengthen ties with the television and the Internet their reporting in order to follow the trend of media convergence.According to the conclusion of this study, we offer some suggestion to the development of sports newspaper:firstly, the contents of the sports newspaper should not only focus on the athletic sports but also on the social sports; secondly, sports newspaper should be professional and thoughtful; thirdly, professional sports newspapers should conform to the media development trend and realize the diversification of reporting forms; fourthly, sports newspapers should continue to improve the quality of the employees.
