According to the report of CNNIC, it can be proved that 10 percentage point increase of the Internet penetration rate in developing countries can promote economic to grow by 1.2 percentage points, from which we can draw a conclusion that the Internet now plays a vital role to the economy increase. Because the Internet information is numerous and complicated, the navigation is more important on how to make the Internet to be a better guider to promote the user to effectively finish their tasks and how to ensure that the user can possess good user experience.Successful navigation design must be based on the incisive understanding and application of human cognitive factors and knowledge structure. Only by that, we can realize the "user-centered design", create a pleasure feeling of accessing information, and enjoy the process of searching information. Therefore, the cognitive psychology is widely applied to site navigation design.Firstly, this paper did some research on the principles of navigation design based on cognitive psychology. Consequently, the author further tested some of the design principles by a series of experiments. Ultimately, this paper established a navigation design model and applied it to the site's navigation design.
