Nowadays, the human-computer interface design concept is focus on "User-Centered Design". The forest resources management information system built inquest also enters a new period of development: for wider basic users. Forestry information products in the development process need to explore the issue that forestry software and system must be designed for the primary users with their cognitive features to develop "User-Centered Design" system interface to enhance the usability of software. This paper focused on user interface usability of farmers and describe the cognitive psychology, interface design (UI) and the usability engineering first. Further, it discusses the usability testing and prototype model based on graphic user interface WIMP for usability of UI. The farmers in Wen'an are used as an example to demonstrate the usability evaluation. The cognitive behavior and information characteristic of farmer users is recorded by observation and interviews. The paper processes the usability evaluation factors which affect the performance of UI by usability testing and results of questionnaire for user interface satisfaction (QUIS). The UI of the fast growing forest production and operation of intelligent decision support system is designed with the theory above, too.
