With the rapid development and widespread application of virtual reality technology,it has shown great potential in the field of product usability testing.Virtual reality technology can simulate real environments,allowing users to immerse themselves in a highly realistic three-dimensional space,thus providing a more intuitive and comprehensive product experience.This immersive experience makes virtual reality technology well-suited for product usability testing,offering new possibilities for traditional usability testing methods.This study aims to explore the design methodology of a WebVR-based product usability testing system,with the research content as follows:Firstly,this study delves into the fundamental theories of virtual reality technology and product usability testing,clarifying the advantages of WebVR technology in the field of product usability testing.Then,through the analysis of domestic and international application examples,the potential of virtual reality technology in product usability testing is identified.To further verify the effectiveness of the WebVR approach,this study conducts a usability test experiment on a rice cooker control panel using WebVR technology.The experimental results show that this approach can effectively collect user data,providing guidance for product improvement.On this basis,this study delves into the design considerations of a WebVR product usability testing system,clarifying application scenarios and design goals.It explores the scope of product usability testing based on WebVR and elaborates on the key aspects of the testing process.Meanwhile,a comprehensive review of data collection indicators is conducted,including objective performance indicators,subjective attitude indicators,physiological and behavioral indicators,and usability problem indicators.This provides useful guidance for designing a product usability testing system based on WebVR.During the system design process,the study is divided into strategic,scope,structural,framework,and presentation layers,successively completing the system’s requirement analysis,functional architecture,interface organization,interaction design,and visual representation.The system mainly includes modules for project management,virtual prototype editing,questionnaire editing,and data analysis and visualization,covering the entire process of product usability testing.In the experimental validation section,a satisfaction evaluation of the system is conducted through interactive prototypes to understand its strengths,weaknesses,and potential improvement areas.The experimental results show that although the system still needs optimization in some aspects,it generally meets users’ requirements for virtual reality product usability testing,confirming the rationality and practicality of the system design.In conclusion,this study provides a theoretical framework and practical guide for designing a product usability testing system based on WebVR technology,aiming to promote the widespread application of virtual reality technology in the field of product usability testing.It offers a more intuitive and efficient product evaluation method for enterprises and designers,contributing to product design improvement and optimization,ultimately enhancing user experience and satisfaction..
