With electronics rapidly changing the daily life of people,users have higher requirements for human-computer interaction design,and products without good usability will be difficult to survive in the fierce market competition.As a self-service product,APP’s interaction design plays a very important role.At present,most of the usability evaluation studies are to examine the subjective evaluation of users on interaction design of APP,and the methods used are always single and lacks of theoretical basis and technical support.In response to the above issues,this thesis combines traditional usability assessment methods with objective eye movement physiological characteristics to assess the usability of APP’s interaction design,and uses the usability evaluation results to optimize the interaction design.Taking map navigation APP as research objects,this thesis applies quantitative theory and eye movement technology to propose a usability evaluation method for interactive design of map navigation APP.Main research works are carred out as follows.(1)Extracting elements of map navigation APP’s interaction design.Based on the deconstruction method of physical product HIEs,this thesis proposes a deconstruction method of map navigation APP and identify the key design elements.(2)Constructing a usability assessment questionnaire for interactive design of map navigation APP.By using literature review and expert discussion,the thesis establishes usability assessment questionnaire for interactive design of map navigation APP,and conducte exploratory factor analysis,confirmatory factor analysis,reliability,and validity tests on the constructed questionnaire,finally determine the usability assessment questionnaire for the interactive design of map navigation APP.(3)Eye movement measurement experiment.Through eye movement experiment,this thesis collecte subjective usability assessment data and objective eye movement data.The thesis selects eye movement indicators,and performe statistical analysis and inspection on the initially selected eye movement indicators.And this thesis extracts eye movement indicators reflecting the usability level of interaction design.(4)Based on quantitative theory and partial least squares regression analysis method,this thesis writes program code and run in Matlab to build the relationship model between interaction design elements,eye movement indicators,and subjective usability evaluation.(5)This thesis applys verification experiment to test the validity of the relationship model between interaction design elements,eye movement indicators,and subjective usability evaluation.And a design solution is proposed to optimize the interaction design of map navigation APP.Taking the usability of product interaction design as the research object and map navigation APP’s interaction design as an example,this thesis proposes a usability evaluation method of interaction design,and provides an optimization design.
