Research Of QoS Evaluation System Based On Heterogeneous/Convergence Network

With the development of modern world, the requirement of information is increasing. To fulfill the different needs of different customers in different environments, Telecommunication Services created co-exist and different telecommunication networks in the world. At the same time, the achievements of telecommunication operators and quality of service (QoS) they provided are closely related to each other in the increasingly competitive environment of market economy, they should evaluate the QoS Effectively, Real-timely and Accurately. So, it is very important to research the evaluation method of QoS in the Heterogeneous/Convergence Network.The article selected Representative UMTS-WLAN network as research object. The properties of the two networks and their convergence were analyzed. The overview of QoS evaluation was discussed and the defects of the existing evaluation programs were analyzed. Relying on the national project of "863", this article provided a Comprehensive customer-centric evaluation system for QoS. It pay attentions on customer-layer, business-layer, and evaluates all the business-layer KQIs that affect the customer experience.The research program was developed by this article. The QoS features of the Heterogeneous/Convergence Network and problems of QoS mapping and business deployment derived by these features were analyzed. Then, to get customer experience Dimensions, the "5W" method was used in the analysis, and to get weights of the dimensions, Customer Survey was executed. Furthermore, the standardized dimensions could be used to analyze the weights of the KQIs in business-layer. Combined the two layers'weights, the relation between KQIs and customer experience was calculated. During this process, the article provided integrated analysis theory and method of calculation. As an illustration, an example of calculation was given.The article selected FTP as an example business to set up simulation network to get data and programmed a Database-centric example system to verify the result in this article. The result of the system running proved that the system could evaluate the QoS effectively, real-timely and accurately. At the same time, this system is valuable to other students working in my project team.
