| Nowadays people in the most parts of our country are still reading meters manually.The work is too hard for meter-readers and they are easy to make mistakes in the situation of "one family one meter". Automatic meter reading(AMR) is a automatic system that reads meters using modern communication and computer technolgy. Compareing with the traditional manual one,AMR is efficient,prompt,low-labour-cost and easy for management.Micro-power wireless AMR is a advanced and effective solution for the AMR. It can greatly enhance the work-efficiency. Micro-power wireless meter reading system is an advanced and effective solution for automatic meter reading system. Concentrator and watt meters constitute a self-organization network for meter-reading using the technology of micro-power wireless communication.The system avoids the trouble of laying the wire by using wireless communication.This paper analyzes the structure of the AMR and the technology in use, studies the self-organization network, designs a micro-power wireless AMR.This paper proposes one routing protocol for wireless meter reading.The routing protocol can reduce the routing overhead by successive increasing TTL mechanism in the phase of route discovery and improve the network throughput by using one load balancing mechanism.This paper is divided into five chapters. The first chapter introduces the background and significance of AMR and various options for AMR was compared.The second chapter studies the wireless network used in AMR,including IEEE802.15.4 standard, wireless ad hoc network technology and ZigBee technology.In the third chapter the overall design of micro-power AMR and the layered design of the local meter reading network system are given.In the forth chapter wireless self-organization network route protocol is studied and one routing protocol for this system is designed.The fifth chapter summarizes the whole paper and then gives the prospects for future study. |
