Micro-power Wireless Automatic Meter Reading System Design And Empolder

Micro-power wireless automatic meter reading technic is an important topic of automatic meter reading(AMR), and it has the fastest developing speed in the domain of AMR. The research of this technic is very important to the automatic management of city’s electric power consumption, water consumption, gas consumption and heat energy consumption. This paper developed a remote automatic meter reading system which base on the Micro-Power wireless automatic meter reading technic and the GPRS/CDMA telecommunication network.The first chapter of this paper introduces the background and significence of AMR, introduces various AMR technic and AMR systems, and mainly analyses various micro-power wireless automatic meter reading technic. In the second chapter the overall design of micro-power AMR system is given, and the layer design of the system is given then. The third chapter designed three kinds of wireless collector. One type is designed for the impulse meter, the other two types are designed for the485bus meter. The idiographic functions of the three types of collector are designed and the programs of the collector are written. In the forth chapter, the concentrator with micro-power wireless communication module and GPRS/CDMA wireless communication module is designed. And the running program is developed. The fifth chapter with the analyzing of the user’s requirement, designed meter data collecting and analyzing software on the base of Microsoft Visual Studio2008and SQL-Server2000database. In last part of the paper summarizes the whole paper and then gives the prospects for future study.
