Design And Implementation Of The Qt Based Client Of Mobile Microblog System

With the development of Web 2.0 technology and application, social network service grows rapidly. The social network service focuses on building online communities for people who share the same interests and activities. Meanwhile, the computing capability and function of mobile device have been improved tremendously. The mobile devices are able to process multimedia content with better performance. With the arrival of the era of 3G, the network speed of wireless access for mobile device becomes faster and faster. Consequently, the mobile SNS applications become possible.While the traditional mobile microblog uses B/S architecture, the client just simply calls web browser, and the content submitted by users is relatively lack of freshness. In this paper, C/S architecture is used for the implementation of mobile microblog, which can enrich the user experience.With a deep study of the fifth edition of Symbian S60 platform and Qt technology, this paper designs and implements a mobile microblog client with good scalability, which includes user login function, as well as covering the photo taking and uploading functions. This paper first introduces the interrelated knowledge and key technologies about mobile microblog system and the development technology on smart phone platform, and then the entire client and the user interface's design approach are introduced. The detailed designs of communication, Idea management, painter module and camera module are shown later, including function description, user interface, data structure and key approaches for each module. Finally, the paper shows the actual results while the application runs on the simulator and on the real machine Nokia 5800.In the last part, the summary of the whole paper is made, which proposes the current shortcomings of this client and the future work. The work and research progress during master-degree study is discussed at the end of this paper.
