In the last decade, the mobile internet industry has achieved its fastest Development in history. Smart phones have grandually become an alternative to tranditional ones in mobile terminal industry.The coming rapid expansion of mobile phone information need better management and support, which largely depends on the quality of third-party software installed.Terminals could obtain real-time service and technology support from software providers through communications established. As one of the top-three mobile application developing platform, Symbian provides complete technology support for communications of mobile applications, protocols'design and implementaion built on it are of great significance.Start from overall design, this thesis specifically presents the album module, the communication module and the game module of the client in the system. Protocols well designed allow seamless communications and assured the security. Cloud computering is ready for solutions of to emerging problems.The thesis summarizes and analyzes the various need for communications of services existed, concludes the functions demanded to realize in protocols'design and implementation.Then educe the necessary fields and tags for each interaction. The protocol module handled orders including upgrade and subscribe, the registration and activation, update of local yellow pages,backup and restore of contacts is also implemented.Meanwhile,encryption is done in order to protect users' private information from being intercepted or analyzed during transmission. Technologys related includes the synchronization and resource sharing of multiple processes, XML parsing, message encryption. In addition to this, this paper describes detailed software and hardware environment, the implentation and design of main module is also provided. This thesis focuses on discussing the overall design of design of communication protocols and implementation of chief modules of the client. It introduces the building of Maemo platform environment, the program development and the method to package. Also, the interfaces and implementation methods of album module, communication module and game module are described in detail. Finally, through analyzing the result of the system test, the functions of the system is validated, and it is proved that the function and performance of the system meet the design requirements. Besides, the build process of development platform, the process of application development and package is described in detail.The sequences and component design for registration and backup is also included. According to description of implementations, testing cases are listed for each module, coming with the relative presentation shots. At last, the result of system tests is analyzed to verify the system functions, whether reaches the requirements both in functions and performance.In the end, the summary of the whole thesis, current shortcomings of the system and future work are given. Also, the summary of my work and research progress during master-degree study are described.
