Design And Implementation Of Software's Behavioral Monitoring System On Symbian

With the development of smartphone and mobile internet, the mobile viruses are also evolving. According to NetQin, it had captured more that 1700 viruses in 2010, which grows by 193% comparing to last year. How to promote the efficiency of mobile virus'analysis is an urgent task currently.In this circumstance, this thesis confirms the task:designing and implementing software's behavior monitoring system. Firstly, this thesis gives a brief introduction to the development of Symbian OS, the malicious softwares and their analysis techniques, all of which leads to the topic:software's behavioral monitoring system. Next, this thesis describes the related technologies, including Symbian's security mechanism, programming knowledge and supported plugin framework. And then, combining the current environment, this thesis will generalize the system's tasks, and choose to monitor 5 kinds of behavior which are installation and uninstallation, messaging (sms and mms), network activity, system log's alternation and telephone call. The characteristic of each behavior is explained to analyze the task dealt with by this system. In the chapter of general design, this thesis provides the system's architecture and explains the design method. The static structure and dynamic model of each module are also provided. The most important part is detail design and realization chapter, where the core class and realization logics are expatiated. At last, this thesis summarizes the whole paper, and points out the shortage of the system. By providing the improvement plan of the system, this thesis also gives an outlook on the monitoring technology of software's behavior.According to the test result, the functions decribed in this thesis are all realized.Currently, this system works fine in everyday work.
