Research And Realization Of Police Mobile Application System Based On Symbian OS

Along with the rapid development of information technology, especially the promotion of computer internet and the mobile communication technology in the world, the public set a higher request to the government department, especially to the working efficiency and the reaction capacity of the police. According to the characteristics of the police such as mobility, paroxysmal, emergency, the first front department needs a real-time connection with the police data centre in order to exchange information and obtains the comprehensive police service information, thus the Police Mobile Application System arises at the historic moment.The Police Mobile Application System realizes the police compositive information wireless application which depending on the public mobile communication network (GPRS/CDMA) while taking the handset, the PDA mobile equipment as the terminal and taking multimedia (data such as texts, pictures and sound) as the carrier.This article first elaborated the background and significance of the research on this system, analyzed the demand of the system function, and compared with the current popular communication mode and made the choice. Analyzed the disadvantages of the traditional three c/s structure mode, designed and has realized four c/s structure mode using the stored process of database, and designed the whole system structure in this foundation. Then has analyzed the characteristics of Symbian operating system, the core frame of application procedure, designed and has realized the functions modules of client-side system based on the Symbian operating system. Finally, we discussed how to deal with the key questions of handset terminal which include the realization of asynchronous service, the improvement of system stability, the optimization of the system and so on, as well as discussed the display of Chinese and the question of downloading the software.
