With the rapid development of satellite communications technology and aerospace technology, satellite information network will become the trend of the convergence of the future space network technology and satellite technology. To meet the characteristics of space and satellite communication link and satellite nodes ,such as high error rate of bits, high latency, dynamic topology and so on and effectively manage the satellite equipment and satellite nodes, the traditional approach of satellite network management based on ground-based monitoring stations no longer meet the requirements of the development of satellite network management .Therefore ,the research on satellite network management technology based on B/S architecture is very urgent and necessary .In the fundamental of analyzing the requirements of satellite network management system based on B/S structure, the paper proposes architecture of satellite network management adapted to meet the requirement of space environment and space communication links. The architecture contains four main parts. Organizational model adopts the management module based on structure of manager-agent, which the satellite network management center acts as the role of manager and the satellite entity acts as the role of managed agent. Communication model based on the organizational model designs and extends satellite network management protocol, including six satellite management domain formation primitives and replying primitives which are referenced to the SNMP protocol to adapt to the normal data communication in satellite information network. Information model uses the MACRO-OBJECT-TYPE of SMI to describe and abstract the managed objects of the satellite information network and the satellite proxy to establish the satellite management information database, including six information groups. With the foundation of communication model and information model, functional model extends the management function domains to meet the demands of satellite management and further uses the method of UML, by using case diagrams, sequence diagrams and other graphic way to describe and specify satellite network management function requirements. Then the paper uses case diagrams and sequence diagrams to specify and design the function of configuration management, performance management and fault management in details.Based on the design and analysis of satellite network management system, the phase of system implementation adopts the four tiers architecture based on B/S mode, including client, web layer, logic layer and data layer to accomplishment the satellite information network management system based on B/S structure. Among the four layers, logic layer and web layer are the key -point and the difficulties; the web layer receives the operation requests of client and further uses the Servlet controller to forward the operation requests to EJB components in logic layer.Then it returns the execution results. At the same time, the logic layer not only responds to the requests of the client's operation, but processes tasks and accesses data from the data layer. The business operation of logic layer is divided into fault management EJB, performance management EJB, configuration management EJB and other EJB components.The last parts of the article establish the satellite network management simulation environment based on B/S. Then, the paper uses the simulation environment to implement satellite management function, including fault management, performance alert, system parameter showing, and performance analysis and so on.
