The Research And Implementation Of Network Management Agent Technology In Satellite Communication Network Management System

Broadband multimedia communication satellite system is a new generation of multimedia communication system in China. It uses advanced processing technology of satellite and the Covered way of Beam Synthesis region, through the ATM Switch to increase the frequency reuse capacity and have a broad research value and social benefits. For complex and large multi-media communication satellite systems, it is particularly important for management and monitoring of satellite network equipment. Therefore, it is necessary for us to research for the satellite communication network management system. For broadband multimedia satellite communication system of management control object, through the network management protocols and the research of management domain and key technological, establish the integrative network management system model, to ensure reliable and efficient network operation.This paper analyzes characteristic of the broadband multimedia satellite systems and the network management subsystem, and research management agent technology on the satellite network management system. Network management agent occupies an important position. in satellite network management system, it is Intermediary between network management center and equipment, network management center manage the whole network through it. The keystone of the paper includes, for the need of multimedia satellite network management of billing, performance, fault management, etc, define the satellite network management system equipment managed object. In order to reduce the amount of network resources which the network management message share, Sat-SNMP is used which is improved by the existing protocol SNMP network management protocol. Develop Sat-SNMP-based network management agent framework and through it implement the terminal and ATM network management agent. As a result of the processing power of the satellite ATM, and satellite network environment resource constraints, designing a memory mapping technology when implement the ATM network management agent. In this way, there is no use to Analysis the IP protocol, network management protocol, and it can deal with ATM cells directly. And this will greatly reduce the pressure of processing and storage on the satellite.Finally, in the LAN environment simulate and test the entire satellite network management subsystem, implement the management of terminal and ATM equipment by network control center.And demonstrate the feasibility of network management agent technology in this paper.
