Recently, as the rapid development of the communications industry in the world, most of the communications equipment manufacturers tend to the wireless field. Whether from the past development situation or from the customer's use of experience, the wireless communication will be the main in the future.Radio frequency test platform (RFTP) for the wireless communication network is a reliable and flexible test platform under the current environment of global communications. In this paper, we research the RFTP. RFTP is composed of eight circuit boards for RF fields. There are PWR, CLK, CAI, ADC, DAC, TX, RX and EI(or PA). It can test RF-related chips, circuit module and radio frequency signals. It also can be used as independent board for other systems, such as a signal source providing signals to other systems.This paper mainly researches a RF transceiver system that can be applied to GSM850, GSM900, GSM1800, GSM1900, WCDMA, LTE and so on. It contains zero-IF transmitter and zero-IF receiver which are two key circuits in the RF transceiver. This paper does three main works:one is describing the common RF transceiver system model in details; the second is using ADS simulation software produced by Aligent Company to simulation the circuit model of the RF transmitter and receiver, the third is using DxDesigner software produced by Mentor Graphics Company to draw the schematics of TX and RX.Finally, we test the real boards in the use of laboratory instruments. In the WCDMA mode and QPSK modulation Modem, using 5071B network analyzer, we have measured the Gain 16.9dB, OIP3 37.75dBm, the output power range-10.1dBm~20.9dBm in RX and Gain 45dB, OIP3 36dBm, NF 1.59dB in TX. In the analysis of test results, we improve the schematics and PCB layout to get a final system which can come to the actual working conditions more.
