Most of them will bring about some performance problems more or less after running for a period of time, which mainly involve database hardware, database server, database memory, applications, operating systems and datable parameters,etc.The tuning for database system is vital to the normal running of the whole system, but it is a complicated work. Therefore, performance tuning and optimization of database systems, which concern multiple aspects, are very vital to the normal running of the whole system. We can improve the stability and availability of database, guarantee its high running efficiency, solve system bottleneck, and reduce system overheadGaining and saving of the spatial information in Internet is the key of its effective utilization and the important issue of the most GIS (Geographic Information System) scientific research teams in recent years. The scheme of Oracle & ArcSDE (Spatial Data Engine) is the most advanced management one of the spatial database; supplying strong access mechanism of the spatial database .Applying the spatial database management scheme, the project team summarized many methods to optimize access from optimizing the configuration of the data server and the ArcSDE data engine. Adjustment of SGA (System Global Area) memory structure, avoidance of disk I/O issues, rational distribution of data-space, confirm of reasonable rollback-segment number, modifying priority and index Grid to optimize response time, etc, buildup a typical scheme of optimizing access to spatial data.On the basis of the existing theory, combined with National Disaster Reduction Center of the reduction of the practical engineering application of an integrated database to explain the spatial database application performance optimization of the general principles and general optimization methods, analysis of the various optimization methods on the system performance Enhance the effect.
