The Design And Implementation Of A Wireless Sensor Network Gateway

As the continuous development of the embedded technology, the sensor technology, network technology and wireless communication technology, the wireless sensor network has been more and more popular as a new intelligent network. Wireless sensor network has been applied to all aspects of life. As the representative of short-range wireless communications technology, ZigBee has played an important role on wireless sensor network applications.Wireless sensor networks can't ioslated existence, in order to achieve application requirements,generally need through heterogeneous network interconnection to sent sensor data to remote control center. The control center process and apply sensor data intensively. Wireless sensor network gateway finish the task of heterogeneous network interconnection, it'll be responsible to send the sensor data to remote monitoring center, the current generally uses the Ethernet,GPRS,CDMA to complete heterogeneous network interconnection,data remote communication way is relatively single.By analyzing the features of the existing sensor network gateway, combined with the development trend of wireless sensor network, the paper has described a designation and implementation plan about Wireless sensor network gateways. Construction of the gateway is based on ZigBee technology with the core PXA270 processor. Through network chip, GPRS chip and CC2430 rf chip which met the ZigBee agreement, the gateway has respectively accessed Ethernet, GPRS nets and wireless sensor network. Also the paper has analysis and build the hardware and software environment of gateway, completed the hardware making of terminal nodes and gathering node. By in-depth study on Z-Stack protocol Stack, we have transplanted the protocol Stack to CC2430 successfully.efficiency of system response to external events has been improved as the applications software for gateway is developed by the multi-thread technology.Through testing and validation of the system, gathering node completed the construction of wireless sensor network, gateway node has achieved remote data transmission function and basically achieved the design requirements. The designation and implementation of the gateway has solved the single communication mode of the current wireless sensor network gateway, and has provided a data transmission combined wired with wireless which has expanded the application scope of wireless sensor network and provides reference for bring, about gateway with more transmission mode.
