Oil wells security monitoring plays an important role in oil well safe production, the geographical environment of oil wells is special, it is not very reality to monitor them live artificially 24 hours, and most of existing monitoring systems have such defects:complex installation and high cost, or high communications costs. The research of oil wells remote security monitoring system based on wireless sensor network can solve these problems effectively.In the design process of the system, this paper analyzes on various security monitoring schemes, finally, we choose to combine the traditional infrared sensor monitoring with emerging remote image monitoring, and oil equipment condition will be intuitively responded to the workstation timely and accurately. Compared with other traditional security monitoring means, this system improves the alarm accuracy. The main tasks are as follows:The core part of the hardware design of oil wells security monitoring system is the design of wireless sensor network node. For this part, paper choose to use modular thought to achieve, including the design of risk acquisition module, wireless communication module, serial communication module, micro controller module, data remote transmission module and power supply module, etc. In the paper, by analyzing the principle and characteristics of infrared sensors, choose pyroelectric infrared sensor as the front alarm sensor, and in the light of its characteristics to make certain description for installation. We choose ZigBee wireless technology as the communication mode of wireless sensor network node, this communication mode with characteristic of low power, low speed, and low cost, short distance. Choose 32-bit STM series as the main processor, which is in charge of controlling to collect and send the picture information. In the side of power supply, by comparing several common power supply methods comprehensively, finally, battery power supply is selected as the power supply plan, which has the characteristics with flexible installation and convenient power supply. Adopting GPRS technology, which will transfer the image data collected by coordinator node to the remote monitoring center.The software design of oil wells remote monitoring system node includes such aspects:the design of wireless communication data transmission procedures, node control procedures, and control platform software. Based on ZigBee protocol stack, application programs are written, so as to realize nodes'functions, including image data acquisition, data processing, data transmission, and other functions. Also, paper adopts configuration technology to design the remote monitoring platform.This system has the following advantages:using wireless communication technology, it needs not multifarious wiring; using infrared detection and image monitoring unifies, this method will reduce the communication cost and improve the monitoring accuracy; users can send down the commands to obtain images by monitoring center to get the oil well condition.
