With the development of information technology of enterprises, Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) is a representative kind of Management Information System which has played an important part in the operation of enterprises. But customer demand diversity and the increasingly fierce market competition make more and more manufacturing enterprises changing their production mode from make-to-stock to make-to-order. According to the customers'orders, enterprises purchase raw materials, process parts and assemble, finally carry productions on the sales. It's becomes the key problem of enterprise management that how to guarantee orders delivering on time and the reliability of production quality in MTO environment. Due to ERP lacks of monitoring and tracking production process ability, management of enterprises can not master the actual execution progress of the orders, which often delay in delivery. Workshop is the key link to decide whether orders can be able to deliver on time, so it requires the enterprises to continuously strengthen the management of workshop production process.Presently, the research for discrete production process management system in domestic is less and not in-depth. In the background of discrete manufacturing workshop, the author used radio frequency identification (RFID) to carry out the production process data acquisition and processing, researched the production process management methods based on RFID technology, which provided decision support for enterprises' production management.The author started from the characteristics and existing problems of workshop production management of discrete manufacturing enterprises, analyzed the requirements of production process management information, introduced the RFID system composition and working principle, put forward production process management solutions based on RFID technology, analyzed the basic process of application RFID technology to achieve production process management in the machining workshop.Referencing the function model of manufacturing execution system, combining with the actual situation of enterprises, the author designed the overall function model of production process management system based on RFID technology, mainly researched the methods of production process data acquisition and processing by using RFID technology, detailed analyzed and designed system database, and detailed designed some key function modules such as the basic data management, data acquisition, work-in-process management and order tracking.In Windows flat, the author developed production process management prototype system with Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 as development tools, C# as development language, Microsoft SQL Server 2000 as database. The system has been implemented in a mould company limited of shanghai. After implementation, the enterprise's deliverability on time and quality control level has been significantly improved.
