Teaching management is the key work of school management, and its complexity and comprehension objectively ask for excellent modern management. By adopting computer teaching management system to deal with the comprehensive management of the school work, the level of school teaching management work is promoted. Fast development of modern information technology makes educational informative process become one of the main melody of the educational reform and development of the 21st century. High vocational school acts as the main part of educational knowledge innovation and the training of skilled worker, it is an important program need to discuss and solve further that how to use Internet fully to establish scientific management information system in school.The project development is to study teaching management and student management demands of higher professional education according to the realistic condition of higher professional technical institute teaching management, and it's a kind of teaching management information system that is designed to use under LAN and Internet network environment. This paper firstly analyses the present development situation and characteristic of professional educational and teaching management system, then it describes the process of design, development and realization of the education management system based on object-oriented technology. Firstly, it has stated the present condition of education management system and the origin of the problem and the meaning of re searching the system. Mean while, it presents the technology basement and theory concerned. It is featured by analyzing and comparing the C/Sand B/S, the main two architectures of education management system, and putting for ward the blueprint of combining C/S and B/S architecture. Furthermore, it discusses the requirement analysis and design of education management system, resulting in establish in the elementary structure. Finally, this paper discusses the realization of interface and program code of the teaching plan management and curricula-variable management and teaching assessment and practice teaching management system. And, be a characteristic, the practice teaching priority is discussed manages a subsystem.Development characteristic of project shows the starting point of its system development that is closed to the training goal in higher vocational colleges. In order to effectively cultivate talents with the skills who adapt to the society needs, and make students have outstanding practical ability and innovation ability, the project will introduce practical teaching management into a teaching management system so that laboratory management, graduate thesis (design) management, practice management and innovation practice management are of scientific, standardized and informatization in higher vocational colleges. Meanwhile, it will improve the practice teaching of level and work efficiency.This system adopts UML as system modeling tool and uses the mixed structure of C/S and B/S. The whole system has perfect function. It has many features such as friendly interface, convenient operating, data security and high depend ability, etc. It will bring the greater convenience for the college education management.
