Design And Implementation Of The Centralized Monitor And Control System For Satellite Communication

Nowadays, the satellite communication technology is applied very widely, but the corresponding monitor and control system for the satellite communication does not been built completely. So it's very inconvenient in the operation and maintenance of the device. Network management technology is one of hot topics in communication control field. Based on this technology and mainly using serial switcher,TCP/IP,Computing Software and Database Management technology, the paper designs and develops CMCS (Centralized Monitor and Control System for Satellite Communication) to solve the existing problem in satellite conmmunication management. The implementation of the system is significant and practical.Firstly, this paper introduced the project background and the network management technologies. Then, according to the project's needs, the architecture of the CMCS was presented, and the top design of the project was described. Thirdly, the paper designed and realized the Data Gathering System, Client Monitoring System and Database System using VB programming design language. Finally, composition function tests were implemented and the result meets the need of the project.CMCS is integrated with Serial Switcher technology, Winsock technology,ADO technology and Database Management technology, etc. And it has realized the monitoring, measuring and management of networks and communication devices in the satellite communication network. The implementation of CMCS also strongly supports the daily and mission communication of the center.
