As a kind of time division command/response multiplex data bus, 1553B is widely used in the communication among airborne equipments due to its remarkable characteristics of real-time and reliability. The data transmission rate of 1553B bus is only 1Mbps and a maximum word error rate level of 10-7is allowed at present. The 1Mbps bus rate shows its limitations as the continuous upgrading and updating of aircrafts. In this paper, the structure and parameters of each module are extracted based on the existing 1553B bus. The parameters that have influence on system performance are modeled and analyzed in ADS software. With unchanging circuit structure and parameters, whether the increased data rate will cause the decline of signal quality and performance of the entire system are explored, if the data rate is increased to 2Mbps, 4Mbps and 8Mbps. Finally, from the perspective of time jitter and amplitude noise, bit error rate of 1553B bus system is analyzed. This article focuses on the modeling of every module and researching of the bit error rate of the system. It is verified that the model structure and performance indexes of the system are in agreement with technical requirements. The established model can make a good analysis of electric parameters and bit error rate, which provides solid theoretical foundation for building higher speed bus specification.
