3G mobile phone,as the main medium of giving expression to the core technology of the third Genaration Mobile Communication,Because of providing an all around service to consumers,has become part and parcel of people's life,work and study. Along with continuous development of the information technology,the functions and the performance of 3G mobile phone will meet a bigger challenge with the market.Now the market not only requires the phone a specail appearance and full-scale software functions,but more cares the performance of the hardware.A mobile design mainly divides into structure design,hardware design and software design,and every part interrelates closely.The design of the mobile's hardware begins with confirming the whole project solution based on the Project Definition,and then the steps are:Selecting Chips,Schematic Design,Print Circuit Board Design,System Debug,Trial-production,Mass Production and so on.This paper mainly discuss the difficult and key points of Design a 3G mobile phone'hardware based on QUALCOMM platform,especially the selection of the solutions to realize the system,chips for main modules,and design the schematic and print circuit board assembled,and debug the PCBA.The key focus mainly divides into the following several aspects:First,Listing the requirements of the project on the basis of Project Definition,confirming a better solution to realize the system based on all functions work and high cost performance,and then selecting the main chips of every function module,checking whether the chip'performance can meet the requirement of the system through looking up the specification of the chips;Second,Designing the schematic, which means realizing all modules in a whole system based on the reference circuit.In this step the structure of whole system must be known very well,at the same time the function of every module and their communication princples should be mastered too and compatibility designs sometimes is needed to make the system more strong when necessarily. Third, analysising the layout and wiring of the print circuit board, no only considering the reliability and the productibility of the board's layout,but also focusing on the protection of the sensitive signal wires. At last, downloading the initial software system to PCB from the trail-production, then debuging all the hardware functions. After testing the whole circuit of the mobile by kinds of tools, Fail items must be calibrated or corrected until they all pass.The solution of this item bases on QUALCOMM QSC60X5 series platform, which realizes that power supply system,baseband system and RF system are integrated in one chip, so the allover system can be more simple and reliable. At the same time because of the highly integration, the performance of some functions is limited which makes the design little harder. For example, Although the audio amplifier is integrated in the chip, its performance can hardly meet usual cosumer's need. In this paper the research mainly focus on the design and debug of the three modules. In the design of the power supply module this paper discusses the realization process of the module which includes charging management, digital power resource management and anology power resource management; analysises the diversity of different power resource's performance and their applied range; offeres the special power resourse design for the module which has a additonal need and so on. In the design of the baseband mudule this paper mainly explains the design princples and methods of every baseband modules as the Project Definition requires. For example, front-back double cameras, extra high performance audio amplifier,3-axis acceleration transducer and so on. In the design of the RF module this paper mainly researches the hardware design and debug of two main radio frequence channal in 3G network, and overviews the maintream design method of the antena. At last separately introduces the key points of PCB design and test method and process of the mobile's hardware. At present the item is in mass production.
