The temperature has always been a very important process parameter in industrial objects control. Temperature measurement and control in industrial production has been widely used, especially in the petroleum, chemical, power, pharmaceuticals, materials, metallurgy and other important industrial sectors. In the field of chemical production, there are a large number of chemical exothermic reactions. Exothermic chemical reaction may make reactor temperature too high, thus affecting the resulting products, and high temperatures may also cause many safety problems, so it's for a strict temperature control requirements. Temperature control has the characteristics with nonlinear, strong coupling, large inertia, time variability, and so on. How to improve the stability and accuracy of temperature control has been the major problem. In order to improve the performance of traditional temperature control system, the paper combines PID control theory, fuzzy control theory with the embedded system, research and implement a chemical reaction temperature control system. As the non-linear environment, the fixed parameters of the PID control is difficult to guarantee system performance, so the fuzzy self-tuning PID parameters is used to adjust the PID control parameters to the nonlinear system with good effectiveness. Using fuzzy reasoning to self-tuning PID control parameters will get both a high accuracy of PID control and the advantage of fuzzy control adaptable. In hardware design, using the Renesas Electronics Corp. H8S/2166 Micro-Controller as a core processors, AD7705 and thermistor temperature sensor as a temperature detection unit and 4*6 small keyboard, LCD and S1D13305 LCD controller as a good human-computer interaction, this paper has designed a embedded real-time temperature control system which is applied in chemical industry. Compared with conventional temperature control system, this system provides more computing power and expandability, higher accuracy and stability of temperature control.
