With the progress of Gansu literature of science and technology sharing platform, the emphasis of resources development has transferred from resources introduction and resources integration to resources construction, and the task of building database has been extended. However, the shortage of manpower and funds and the diversity of information resources has increased the difficulty of development, and affected the efficiency of development. At the same time, because of knowledge and technology intensive, labor intensive, further development and sharing of information resources will be restrained without good design and rational developing method and normative treating standards.According to the requirements of Gansu literature of science and technology sharing platform and the analysis of related content management products and theories, unified content management system has been designed and implemented by applying the UML modeling method based on RUP and the J2EE frame technology. The system has solved flexible customization and efficient management of database, field and catalog through the visual interface, realized content fleetness FMT edits and normalized acquisition and transferring application of online documents, solved dynamically generation of column and publishing problem of one piece of information to many columns. The system has reduced developing difficulty, improved exploitation efficiency of database, and realized standard acquisition, efficient management and sufficient application of structured and partly structured digital resources.This paper first introduces the background of the construction of the system, and then briefly describes related technology used in the system development, finally, discusses the overall process of system analysis, design and implementation using framework based on J2EE and UML modeling method based on RUP in detail.
