A Research On Mu Qing's Journalistic Ideology

Mu Qing was an outstanding representative of journalists in New China,who had made plenty of significant achievements in the aspects of journalistic theory and practice during his half-century working time. As an excellent journalist,he had created a large amount of distinctive works reflecting the spirit of the times and building the typical figures in different periods. As the leader of Xinhua News Agency,he had firmly implemented the propaganda theory of CPC,always adhered to the correct orientation of public opinion,and put emphasis on the team-construction and bringing up talent journalist as well. Therefore,under his leadership,Xinhua News Agency had changed from a national news agency into an international one. Mu Qing's journalistic ideology,news concept,management ideas,interviewing style,writing methods,as well as his journalist accomplishment and humanistic feelings not only had tremendous impact on the proletariat's journalism in New China,but also leaves impressive inspiration to the present journalists.Based on the old research results,this paper shows a specific,systematic and in-depth discussion on Mu Qing's journalistic ideology by adopting inductive method and synthetically analyzing the existing documents. This paper takes Mu Qing's journalistic ideas as the sequence,combing with his life experiences,journalistic practice,political ideas and historical background,to restore the original state of Mu's journalistic ideas. What's more , considering the current journalistic ideas and propositions promoted by CPC and government,this paper analyzes and summarizes the practical value of Mu's journalistic ideas.As to the content,the first chapter mainly unscrambles Mu's news activities and summarizes his news practical activities under the historical background. From Chapter Two to Chapter Five,it takes Mu's view on guidance of public opinion,humanistic complex,thought of typical report and theory of medium-management as the core of the matter,to discuss his journalistic ideas specifically from the aspects of essence of his thought,soul,characteristics and development. Combing with Mu's news works,practical experiences,relevant speeches and existing research documents,it investigates the content,cause and practical value of his news ideas,to reproduce the accomplishment and style of a famous journalist.As the first generation of journalist in New China,Mu Qing had almost experienced all the developing process of Chinese journalism from beginning to expanding. His news practice activities had gone through the development of Chinese proletariat's journalism at all stage and his journalist idea reflects the development and changes of news theory with Chinese characteristics. Therefore,the study on Mu's journalistic ideology greatly helps us understand the developing process of Chinese proletariat's journalism and has great theoretical value. Meanwhile,our party and government always consider"grasping the correct direction of public opinion,improving the new media's ability to guide public opinions,and adhering to the people-oriented reporting course"as the guiding theory of journalism. So,studying on Mu's journalistic ideology and summing up the experience of the predecessor under such a background are of guiding significance and reference function for the current journalism practice.
