From present to the near future is a crucial period for the whole Party and the people of all ethnic groups to comprehensively deepen reform and opening up 、construct well-offs society and move forward the socialism with Chinese characteristics dedicatedly. Moreover, it’s also a key time in developing media pattern as well as innovating and integrating new media. The guidance of mass media, as an important part of ideology, is the vital component of ideological publicity work and the ideological and political work of the Party. Therefore, in such a crucial time, more great deeds should be accomplished by it. Taking Marxism as the guiding principle, this thesis has implemented the spirit of a series of important speeches delivered by the general secretary Xi Jinping, especially the spirit of his speeches on the public opinion of news media, so as to comprehensively, systematically and deeply explore the improveme nt, development and innovation of the ideological work of China under the circumstances of media patterns changes. Furthermore, the thesis attempts to offer some constructive, operational and effective suggestions and advices. It is consisted of introduction, five chapters and conclusion.The introduction part elucidates the topic selection background and significance of the thesis, summarizes and analyzes research status and achievements of the guidance of the ideological and public opinion under the changing circumstances of media pattern at home and abroad. It also puts forward principles and methods in this thesis, points out that the emphasis, difficulty and innovation of it, and lay a foundation for further study and writing.Chapter One. Media patterns and the guidance of ideology and public opinion. Before doing researches on the guidance of ideology and public opinion under the changing circumstances of media pattern: firstly, chapter one describes traditional media and new media from the aspects of concept, development stage and development process in details. A comparative study has been made between traditional media and new media on the basis of summarizing the basic concepts of the two, pointing out that the unique advantages in digitalization, promptness, individualization and autonomation of new media. This part expounds the connotation and evolution of media pattern, and then further analyzes the evolution of media pattern and the formation of public opinion ecology. It emphasizes that the formation of public opinion ecology is triggered by the evolution of media pattern and the transmutation of public opinion ecology promotes the changes of media pattern. Therefore, only through correct understanding and proper handling of the two aspects could occasion be improved, weaknesses be avoided, then a positive interaction and harmonious order be attained. Secondly, this chapter illustrates the connotation and characteristics, function and effect as well as development and change of the guidance of ideology and public opinion. Lastly, this chapter discusses the relationship between media pattern and the guidance of ideology and public opinion, that is, the change of media pattern provides conditions for the guidance of ideology and public opinion while the guidance of ideology and public opinion promotes the improvement of media pattern, which means their interaction with each other.Chapter Two. The present status, situation and tasks of the guidance of ideology and public opinion under the changing circumstances of media pattern. Firstly, this chapter starts from conceptual standard and essential features to summarize and analyze the present construction status of mainstream media, that is, central media construction, regional media construction, urban media construction and large-scale websites. Then, it discusses the main problems that exist in the construction of mainstream media under the changing circumstances of media pattern, analyzes the main reasons which include ideology, team construction and management system. Secondly, this chapter surveys and analyzes the present situation of the guidance of ideology and public opinion under the changing circumstances of media pattern through three aspects. They are the public psychosocial status and the cha nging tendency of values in a social transformation period, a complicated public opinion environment caused by the rise of new media, more difficulties and challenges that exists in the work of ideological and political education. In the following, the author discusses the existing deficiency of the guidance of ideology and public opinion under the changing circumstances of media pattern through three aspects: the problem of the contents of the guidance of ideology and public opinion that is divorced from reality, the weakness of discourse power and influence of the mainstream media, the deficiency of effectiveness in mastering the guidance of ideology and public opinion. Then the author analyzes the reasons to these three insufficiencies through studying the law of public opinion broadcasting, the ability of utilizing new media of journalists and media reporters of our country and the construction of international communication ability. Lastly, this chapter discusses the new situation of the guidance of ideo logy and public opinion under the changing circumstances of media pattern through “six challenges”. They are the challenge of ?non-barrier’ of information dissemination that brings to the guidance of ideological and public opinion, the challenge of ?uncontrollability’ of information dissemination, the challenge of diversity and complexity of social ideological trends, the challenge of low culture and moral anomies, the challenge of dissemination characteristics of new media and the challenge of the international media pattern of the imbalance between western and oriental opinion. Meanwhile, the author analyzes and demonstrates the new tasks that the guidance of ideology and public opinion face under the changing circumstances of media pattern through “four mores”. They are: utilizing new media more fully to innovate the work of the guidance of ideology and public opinion, promoting more effectively to upgrade the complementation of traditional and new media, as well as their integrational development, propelling more practically to combine ideological and political education with new media technology, utilizing new media more solidly to expand overseas publicity and channels as well as platforms of the guidance of ideology and public opinion.Chapter Three The contents and demands of the guidance of ideology and public opinion under the changing circumstances of media pattern. Firstly, this chapter discusses the contents of the guidance of ideology and public opinion under the changing circumstances of media pattern from eight aspects: socialist core value system, socialist core values, socialism with Chinese characteristics and Chinese dream, correct overlooks on the world, life and values, guidelines and policies of the Party, situational tasks, socialist democracy, rule of law and morality, advanced typical examples and models, traditional culture in C hina and the excellent accomplishments of human civilization. Secondly, the chapter elaborates the requests of the guidance of ideology and public opinion under the changing circumstances of media pattern from five aspects: adhering to correct political direction, sticking to the guidance of ideology and public opinion, playing the role of a bridge and tie, making a scientific ideological and political education, implementing the ?double six ’policies.Chapter Four. The principles and methods of the guidance of ideology and public opinion under the changing circumstances of media pattern. Firstly, the chapter discusses the principles of the guidance of ideology and public opinion under the changing circumstances of media pattern, including the principle of laying emphasis on society benefit, the principle of unifying Party spirit and people’s character, the principle of “three close to”, the principle of combining advanced request and the request of universality and the principle of combining solving ideological problems and resolving practical matter. Secondly, this chapter illustrates the methods of the guidance of ideology and public opinion under the changing circumstances of media pattern, including the methodology of insisting on dialectical and historical materialism, consolidating and carrying forward the mainstream ideology in positive ways, using IT technology extensively and skillfully, properly adopting the relevant methods of ideological and political work. Through using these methods, the author believes that the guidance of ideology and public opinion can be strengthened.Chapter Five. Paths and laws of the guidance of ideology and public opinion under the changing circumstances of media pattern. Firstly, this chapter explores the paths of the guidance of ideology and public opinion under the changing circumstances of media pattern. Three aspect are analyzed in details respectively: conducting the work of the guidance of ideology and public opinion with continuous improvement and sustainable innovation, publicizing and carrying forward socialist core values system using the media system, deeply promoting the work of ideological and political education in colleges by virtues of new media. Secondly, this thesis summarizes and generalizes the laws of the guidance of ideology and public opinion under the changing circumstances of media pattern. They are to respect rules of respecting news transmission, to respect rules of ideological propaganda, to master a good knowledge of market-based economic laws, to realize laws of the audience awareness and to follow the laws of practical and ideological education and dissemination.Conclusion. This part ends with a summary of the author’s major viewpoints and suggestions. To enhance the capacity of the guidance of ideology and public opinion is a major task in our efforts to update the Party’s governing capacity, and also an important part in modernizing the capacity of national governance. At the background of profound changes in media pattern and the ecology of public opinion, we should stick to the correct orientation and create new methods to consolidatedly enhance the transmissibility and leading- force of the guidance of ideology and public opinion. By exercising effective guiding works to master the discourse power, enlighten the theme of the era and spread the positive energy, we are able to preferably publicize policies, understand public opinions, discovering problems and contradictions, dredge t he social mood, mobilize the masses, promote the practical work. Therefore, the guidance of the ideology and the public opinion could create a harmonious atmosphere of public opinion, provide a consolidate ideological foundation for building up a comprehensive well-off society and realizing the great rejuvenation, that is, the C hinese Dream of the Chinese nation.
