Ever since China's open up policy, these 30 years, from politics, economy, to culture and other relevant respects all going through dramatic changes. Along with China's GDP leaped forward to the No. three position in the world, China has left the world with the impression of a powerful economic country. In 2008, the global economic crisis started by subprime crisis from USA has made a serious impact to the world. After the crisis, China has adopted a series of countermeasure to make a great achievement of eight percent protection and act as a responsible great power during the once-in-a-century crisis. However, this powerful country hasn't win the national image and international position matched with it's economic strength, on the contrary, it has become an excuse for the western countries to talk about this so-called'China threat'. Nowadays, it's no longer the hard power that decides everything. As a kind of intangible power, the soft power plays a more and more important role to China's international position. Although the government and the people of China has promised to the world that China will keep peaceful development, however, in those countries with different culture and different way of thinking from China, some"opinion leaders"and mainstream media always form various kinds of China threat in the atmosphere of world's public opinion, which seriously damage the image of China in the international society. After the global economic crisis, some countries who expect china to take on more responsibility to bring forward a new variety of'China Threat'-'China Responsibility'. When china was not in accordance with these countries to deal with international affairs, the western politicians and the media under their control will give some negative and objective reports damage the image of China. As an important part of soft power, the image of a country affects the loss and gain of the nation's interest directly, to some extent, it constrains China's development. In recent years, China's government has spared no effort to form and spread its positive image around the world. Through these efforts, the image of China has been raised and improved, but there still are some instability and fragility, once crisis occurred, national image will be highlighted and questioned by governments, media, and public from different countries. Out of the concern of the nation's development and interest, China must create scientific and reasonable publicity strategy, via various kinds of methods and channels to make others realize that Chinese people love peace and live in a harmonious country, so that to create a good international publicity environment.Base on the studies of forming nation's image and spreading relevant thoughts, mechanism, and practice to other countries, to combine journalism, communication, public opinion, international relations theory and other theories together, against the backdrop of reshuffling the world pattern, putting the formation of nation's image and activities of dissemination to a very important place, to define the relative definition first, then to deal with the historical processing system of nation's image formation and dissemination, raise up existing questions and analyze them, then summarize current opportunities for the formation of nation's image, and put forward the strategies to form nation's image in the end.
