Along with the improvement of the speed in the railway and the increase in the number of passenger information and control information, the direct digital control system has been unable to meet the practical requirements. The distributed control system based on network is widely used in the train communication system. MVB(Multifunction Vehicle Bus) is the most common communication bus between the vehicle interior equipments. MVB cards which conform to the international standard have been widely used in train communication area. On the other hand, USB which supports plug and play, has been widely used in PC area and embedded area.By the researches on MVB bus and the understanding of the needs of MVB equipments, the plan of designing the MVB cards based on USB interface have been proposed. Through the selection of the chips, the design of the hardware circuit, the implement of the software and the test of the cards, the plan is verified.This thesis firstly introduces the train communication network development and basic knowledge of MVB. Secondly, by the analysis of the needs of MVB equipments and the comparison of two plans, the design plan of MVB cards based on ARM processor, FPGA(Field Programmable Gate Array) and FT245BM interface chip is selected. Thirdly, the schematic design is described in detail, mainly about the design methods of peripheral circuit. Fourthly, after the analysis of signal integrity, this thesis presents the layout of PCB(Printed Circuit Board), reflection and crosstalk simulating of key signals and the routing of PCB. Fifthly, by the analysis of the logic of FT245BM chips, this thesis introduces the logic design of USB interface section in FPGA. Then, after the demo software is designed, the MVB cards are debugged and the test results are analyzed. The conclusion and the future work are discussed at the end of this thesis.
