Weapons'development tends to use simulation system for weapons and equipment operation training in today's world. Sonar signal simulator plays an important role in the process of the entire manufacture and development of sonar. It is an important test equipment of sonar system and used for sonar machine debugging and determination of performance indicators.This dissertation designs and develops a sonar signal simulator based on PCI bus. It can provide multi-parameter sonar signals for sonar system debugging in real time.PCI bus-based sonar signal simulator software platform can generate active sonar,passive sonar and communication sonar signals in line with the sound field characteristics of the marine environment,which is received by a single vector hydrophone or vector array with 5 hydrophones. The analog signal considers the affect of target orientation,target movement,ocean ambient noise and other factors. It can supply a variety of accurate signal form flexible for sonar system and develop a friendly man-machine interface.After analyzing sonar signal simulator requirements technical indicators,the dissertation proposed hardware design of the sonar signal simulator. Hardware is mainly based on PCI9054 interface chip to complete data transmission;Achieve the logic control among the hardware circuits through the FPGA;Digital-analog conversion circuit completes the data output, filtering and other tasks.The sonar signal simulator can provide 15 channels of 14bit signal,the dissertation verifies the correctness of software and hardware design for sonar signal simulator through the process of gathering and analysis signals from simulator.
