How to adapt to the modern high-density signal environment and process wideband signals with high speed, large dynamic range and multiple signals which arrive simultaneous using limited hardware resources efficiently are focus of modern electronic warfare receivers. Software-defined radio has become one of the key technologies in wireless communications. Its basic idea is to make wideband A/D, D/A be close to antenna and achieve various functions of radio stations in an open, modular, common hardware platform with software.Due to the inflexible structure of the traditional radio receivers and the difficulty of system upgrade and poor ability of processing multi-signal, this paper improved the radio receivers by using high-performance broadband digital signal processors with software radio theory and multi-rate signal processing theory. The model improved is able to receive total probability and process in real-time and its open platform could expand system functions to accommodate different signal environment and enhance the flexibility of the system by modifying software program without changing hardware.The paper first introduces the application background of the subject and the development of software-defined radio, citing the technology system classifycation of the frequency measurement receiver; then the paper introduces software-defined radio's basic theory, multi-rate signal conversion theory and band-pass sampling theory in detail. A no-overlap non-blindzone channelized method was proposed and a model used in the system was derivated based on the research of the above theory. The simulation results from MATLAB show that system performance has improved obviously. What's more, a broadband digital receiver was proposed in the paper based on analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of traditional analog receiver.The article simulated the system mathematical model and assured its correctness at first. Second, the paper introduced the FPGA development environment and designation flow of ISE, then designing the receiver module with ISE. At last the paper discussed the simulation results.Finally, the article tested the system functions at the hardware platform built. The program proposed was right by analyzing the test data.
