The Design And Implementation Of Personal Handphone System (PHS) Short Message (SMS) Gateway System Of Daqing Oilfield

This paper is based on the background of Daqing Oilfield Personal Handphone System (PHS) Integrated Short Message (SMS) Gateway System which is operated by the Daqing Oilfield communication company. This system has been successfully interconnecting to the SMS gateway of the other telecom operators, and the system enable the Daqing Oilfield PHS and other telecom operators to make SMS exchange, it also develops the corresponding charging interface and Short Message Provider (SP) interface.First of all, this paper introduces the hardware system design and architecture of Daqing Oilfield PHS integrated short message gateway system. As the data exchange of the SMS gateway frequently, and the high demand of data processing and carrying capacity, according to the local conditions, we design a hardware proposal to meet the existing SMS gateway operation mode. To ensure the data processing capacity of the SMS gateway and security and stability of the data, the main part of the SMS gateway uses advanced Linux-Cluster technology to ensure no interruption of the whole business and reducing the economic losses due to failure. The data disaster tolerant module uses the OracleDataGuard technology of the oracle database, with the uses of the feature of this technology, the data are nearly real-time and synchronous, ensuring the integrity and security of the important data in the database.Furthermore, this paper gives a detailed account of the software system design and architecture. This software packages China Mobile point to point protocol CMPP3.0 and China Communication Short Message Center protocol specifications SMPP3.3 to achieve the interface program of the SMS gateway. This paper also gives a detailed analysis to the core business module, communication agent module, management module of the SMS gateway. As the main part of the SMS gateway, the core business module is used for processing the external link data and sending the processed data to the other modules. The communication agent module is mainly responsible for processing the external link data, finding the corresponding agent in the agent pool, and sending the processed data to the other modules and link entities of the gateway. The management module is mainly responsible for the configuration of the corresponding parameters of the gateway system, and the management of the number segment information, SP information, tickets settlement.Finally, this paper analyzes the design of the database structure of the PHS gateway, and gives a detailed account of the functions of each table from conceptual design, logical design and data dictionary design and other aspects.Daqing Oilfield PHS short message gateway system not only can be used as a SMS gateway for the telecom operators to achieve the interaction of the ISMG and SMSC, the interconnection to the ISMG and other operators, and the management of the multi-SP function, but also can be used as virtual SMS gateway of SP operators to achieve the interconnection of the virtual ISMG and multi-operator ISMG, and the management of itself and low-level SP function. This system uses C++, Java, Java Servlet and other programming language, combined with powerful Oracle 10G technology, developed as an integrated Short Message gateway System.
