Research, design and realization of SP Side Short Message Gateway (SPSMG) is concerned in this paper. SPSMG is the bridge between SP's short message value-added service applications and mobile carriers' Internet Short Message Gateways (ISMG), which function is receiving short messages mobile originate (MO) from ISMG and dispatching these MO messages to value-added service applications, meanwhile, collecting short messages mobile terminated (MT) from value-added service applications and sending these MT messages to ISMG.SPSMG is a key factor of value-added service application system that requires high performance and stability. This research is aim at designing and realizing a SPSMG that is high performance, stabile and expansible, can be monitored roundly, and supported most up to day short message protocols such as China Mobile Peer to Peer Protocol V3.0 (CMPP V3.0), Short Message Gateway Interface Protocol V1.2 (SGIP V1.2) and Short Message Gateway Protocol V3.0 (SMGP V3.0).This SPSMG is designed to be a distributed system to meet the performance requirement. The whole system contains a couple of independent, loose coupled and functional parts that communicate with each other by message queue technique. In system design, applies some mature design patterns, dividing the whole system into several layers that interact through interfaces. In coding and realization, make use of open source, third party class libraries, focusing on realizing business logic.
