Manufacturing execution system (MES) is a management information system of the workshop layer, located between the planning system of the upper layer and the industrial control of the ground floor. With the exacerbation of the market competition and the development of manufacturing informatization, more and more enterprises begin to implement MES in their production workshop to optimize the production management and improve production efficiency. In this paper, the architecture and realization of MES in mechanical blanking workshop was studied.Firstly, the business process and function of the blanking workshop in mechanical manufacturing enterprises were analyzed systematically, an overall model of MES oriented to the blanking workshop was put forward, and a detailed description for the overall model was given from the different aspects of function view, resource view, process view and physical view. On this basis, the function structure tree of the MES was established, and the function models and information models of the system were designed by utilizing IDEF method, which laid the foundation for the realization of the system. Then, two key technologies of the system role authority control and the information integration between blanking workshop MES and ERP system were specially researched.On the basis of the division of user roles and definition of the role authority, the automatic generating technique of menu and the method of customizing menu were used to realize the system role authority control. And then, the integration modes and information exchange between the MES and ERP system were analyzed, the intermediate files exchange mode was adopted to achieve the information integration, and the problem of heterogeneous data conversion in the process of system integration was also solved.Finally, on the basis of theoretical study, the structure model of B/S (Browser/Server) and development tool of Microsoft Visual Studio.NET were used for the development of the blanking workshop MES to realize functions of the control of the role authority, workshop resources management, blanking production management, work-in-process product management and production information statistics.
