Hydrological data automatic measuring and forecasting system is a comprehensive system which uses modern means of measurement for hydrological information, and can real-time process, display, transmit and record collected hydrological information, it combines sensor technology, electronic technology, communication technology, computer and network technology and other multi-disciplinary field, and is widely used in reservoirs, rivers, lakes and so on, it can automatically measure and report water level, rainfall and other hydrological information, it has now become essential support system of flood prevention work for its better real-time, high security and reliability.This paper briefly describes the significance and its basic principles of hydrological data automatic measuring and forecasting system, sums up the domestic and foreign development of hydrological forecasting system, and according to the actual situation of Tianguya reservoir and the actual requirements of reservoir management, considering its hydrological forecasting current situation, communication conditions, power supply conditions, and site coverage, I proposed the design idea of Tianguya reservoir hydrological automatic forecasting system based on the consideration, and had a detailed analysis of design thoughts, system architecture, function, working principle and features of Tianguya reservoir hydrological automatic forecasting system. This paper also has an analysis and comparison of networking of communication system devices and method of flood situation reporting, at last, I choose GW1000KC-3 wireless data transmission module based on RF chip ADF7020BCP as communications equipment of this system, and query response mode as flood situation reporting way of remote site terminal RTU.Hardware device in the remote site is the basis of the whole system, it is mainly used to collect hydrological data. Through the summary and analysis of commonly used sensors in hydrological automatic forecasting system, I finally choose MPM4700 as water level sensor after comparation. The terminal RTU is the key part of the system, I independently design it according to the system requirements. Terminal RTU uses MSP430F149 as the master controlling chip and its internal integrated 12-bit ADC module for analog to digital conversion, the other related peripheral circuits are designed at the same time. This paper also has a summary and research on lightning protection of hydrological forecasting system, and emphasizes the attentions during installation and use.The key point of this paper is the design of monitoring and management software based on Kingview, it is responsible for real-time monitoring and recording hydrological information, recording, alarm and so on, and is the key to achieve scientific and efficient management of hydrological data. This paper has an analysis and research on monitoring and management software and system requirements, then design the whole structure of monitoring and management software, and introduces the whole development process of the software, including software architecture design, choice of development platform and variable definitions, picture design and program implementation during detailed design process. The monitoring and management software published the monitoring picture and data to Internet depend on new WEB function of Kingview, thus enhanced the system's real-time and interactive, and greatly improved the degree of informatization of the hydrological automatic forecasting system.Through laboratory testing and running, the designed hydrological automatic forecasting system performed more stable, proved it was able to meet the actual needs, and can effectively replace the traditional hydrological measurements of Tianguya reservoir. It has features of higher degree of automation, stronger interaction, better real-time and accuracy and operates simply, can well serve the needs of the daily management of the reservoir.The last part of this paper puts forward some proposals for the problems and further research of hydrological automatic forecasting system.
