The automatic hydrological data acquisition and transmission system is an automatic real-time forecasting and data acquisition system which is used to realize the water level, rainfall, flow, flow velocity and other hydrological data acquisition, processing, storage, forecasting and transmission with sensor, communication and computer technology. We can use it to grasp the timely and accurate hydrological information, make forecast and make the right decisions which are significant to the flood and drought control projects of the state.This dissertation describes the basic principle and implementation methods of the automatic hydrological data acquisition and transmission system, including the overall structure, communication and reporting information methods. After analyzing the features of the automatic hydrological data acquisition and transmission system between home and abroad, I research and design the automatic hydrological data acquisition and transmission terminal based on PIC16F887 which combines the characteristics of the stability, reliability, economic applicability, human-computer interaction of project requirements.The thesis details the concrete implementation of the terminal:MCU peripheral circuit design, sensor acquisition unit circuit designs, the functional chips' connection with SPI and I2C bus. Using real-time clock chip (RTC) and Flash memory chips to achieve the historical hydrological data storage and the display and control of multistage Chinese menu are the points of this design.The entire system has the ultimate design goal of economic, stable, reliable, humanity. On the basis of ensuring realize the basic functions, we try to optimize the hardware design and software design. The terminal provides not only LCD multistage Chinese menu with the functions of data query and function setup but also the functions of U-disk storage and SD card storage, which meet a variety of storage needs. It has a great promotional value in the field of automatic hydrological data acquisition and transmission.
