Realization And Simulation Of Infrared Communication Based On ARM11 Core Chip

The development and research of infrared wireless communication in embeded system has become more and more popular now.For its unique advantages,infrared wireless communication is used to interconnect systems of protable devices by many embedded application developer. And ARM is the most widely used as an embedded microprocessor for its high-performance and low-cost.The lastest embedded microprocessor of ARM core is generally integrated IrDA interface,application development for different versions of the IrDA interface has become more and more important.This paper focuses on S3C6410 (based on the ARM1176JZF-S core) of IrDA interface which is the lastest chip from Samsung company,and discusses the application and simulation of IrDA interface.This paper describes in detail the method of designing hardware and software,which is based on infrared wireless communication of S3C6410 chip.Firstly,this paper introduces the infrared communication scheme of embedded system and contents of IrDA stack.Then after analyzing IrLMP and IrLAP, which are the two major protocol in IrDA stack,this paper gives the way to reduce the IrDA stack,and selects two kinds of connections,as the method of IrDA communication in UT-S3C6410 development platform.Secondly,we design process of state machine and driver of related equipment,which are used in IrDA communication.Finally,this paper discusses how to simulate and test the IrDA interface of S3C6410 chip,using the development environment of QuartusⅡ,and VHDL hardware description language to design and simulate module of function in development platform of EP2C8Q208.This paper uses the IrDA communication of S3C6410 chip to transmit video,and gives the method of transplant embedded application in ARM11.According to the test results,the project of IrDA communication meets development standards.
