FAS is Factory Automation Solutions for the thin-film solar panel manufacturing industry, which includes Operable graphical user interface system, manufacturing execution system (MES) and Equipment Automation Platform (EAP). Tool automation system discussed in this thesis is based on EAP. With the tool automation system, all devices in the factory can run under the control and coordination of FAS to reduce costs and improve productivity.Key equipment in the tool automation system, Laser Scribe, is studied and made automation in this thesis. Firstly, this thesis analyzes the automation-related features Laser Scribe provided and the SECS protocol through which the equipment communicates with EAP. Then, the modules of Laser Scribe tool automation including equipment model and the equipment logic control are designed and implemented. Equipment logic control module mainly achieves state management, production parameters management, production management and Alarm management functions. Finally, Laser Scribe tool automation system is verified by integration testing in the virtual testing environment, and the development of the whole system is completed.
