This paper designed a hardware platform of infrared imaging detector simulator that can provide the infrared image data-source instead of a real infrared imaging detector in the testing phase of an information processor. The following is the specific research contents: 1. The simulator's control signal sequences are generated by FPGA; analog signal output is generated by a high resolution, low noise DA. The output interface of a real detector is simulated by this structure. 2. Several techniques like photoelectric isolating are taken to lower noise, achieves the requirement of low noise analog output. 3. Physical effects in imaging are processed in real-time based on the high-speed, parallel computing structure of FPGA. 4. High-speed DSP processors calculated the view area of detector according to the information of detector's position and posture in real-time, carried out the extraction of detector's view image. Simulator designed in this paper could generate simulated infrared image of scene in real-time, and provide data-source for a infrared imaging information process system in closed loop.
