With the continuous development of the third-generation infrared detector technology,the performance of the infrared imaging system has been greatly improved.However,the infrared imaging system will be worn and consumed in the process of debugging and testing,so the research of the infrared imaging system simulator has received increasing attention.Based on the working principle of infrared imaging system,this thesis designs a miniaturized infrared imaging system simulator using Virtex-4 FPGA as the core processing unit.The parallel and pipeline calculation method is used to achieve real-time simulation of infrared imaging physical effects.The specific work done in the thesis is as follows:Firstly,the thesis briefly analyzes the working principle of the infrared imaging system,and on this basis discusses the design ideas of the infrared imaging system simulator,which focuses on the modular design architecture of the simulator system hardware code.Secondly,the thesis introduces the design and implementation details of each function module chapter by chapter.The main functions of the system input and output module are to realize the data communication between the hardware platform and the control software,to receive the image data input from the DVI interface and intercept the parts needed for the system simulation,and follow the timing of the detector to output the simulation results.The main function of the system storage control module is to use the MIG core provided by Xilinx to control DDR2 SDRAM and implement line-by-line storage of image data.The main function of simulation calculation module is to realize real-time high-speed simulation calculation of each infrared imaging physical effects by using parallel and pipeline calculation methods.Thirdly,the thesis debugs and verifies the overall function of the infrared imaging system simulator.In order to verify the correctness of the simulation result of the infrared imaging system simulator,the thesis analyzes the similarity between the theoretical image and the simulated image through five similarity evaluation standards.Finally,the thesis summarizes and analyzes the deficiencies of the infrared imaging system simulator,and points out the direction for further optimization of the system.
