Yarn manufacturing technology has been constantly improved and the requirement of the yarn quality has been stricter with the vigorous development of China's textile industry. Tension control is one of the most important aspects during the production process. The high sensitivity, high accuracy and antijamming capability of the control system are the focus of attention.This paper first analyzes and summarizes the current research results about tension control in China and abroad. Then it makes systematical analysis of the yarn tension on the basis of Hooke's law and dynamic torque balance theory. After a series of formula derivation, the paper illustrates the tension model and influencing factors of tension. After that, it improves the original model which only considered the rewinding roller model by considering the unwinding roller model.Next, some of the existing tension controlalgorithm is presented. On the basis of the analysis, this paper proposes a new intelligence algorithm of endocrine hormones control theory with the expert system. The specific controller design method is proposed as a two-level control structure:the first level calculates the control parameters of the second level according to system's output, using the theory of neuroendocrine regulation; the second level is a traditional PID controller.The simulink simulation results show that the endocrine regulation controller meets the control requirements and have been greatly improved compared to the previous performance of the system control algorithm. The improvement of the system performance proves that the program has good prospects.Finally, this paper designs every hardware modules circuit of the tension control system which is centering on single chip microcomputer, including signal sampling and processing module, interactive module, communication module, driver module, the memory expansion module and so on. The paper analyzes and designs the software of the system modules to coordinate all the modules and guarantee the normal operation of the system.
