Nowadays, new media, represented by Internet and cell phone, having advantages such as openness, globality, individuation, cross-media, cheapness and more, not only changing the way of people's thinking, living, behavior and communication, forms an entirely new culture, but also enriching the type of media communication while conflicting with traditional periodical media, thus the revolutionary changes of situation of media communication will also occur.In my opinion, to face the new changes and environment, traditional periodical media, wanting to be survival and have more development, should face the profound influence brought by new media, should research, be familiar with and adapt Dissemination of market, which has changed today, should approach and study new media proactively, should learn from other's strong points and close the gap through absorbing the reasonable factors of new media, and should develop with new media together.The article using Media Management Theory, theory of communication effects and media economy theory, on the basis of predecessors'research findings, combining my own work experiences, taking XINDUXIE for an example, analyses how Periodical era of convergence media makes full uses of inherent advantages of traditional periodical media when working on business and editting, uses new technology and means, and combine with new media actively, in order to achieve work effectiveness with double results so that they can find some new ideas for traditional periodical media to achieve sustainable development.The thesis mainly includes four parts:In the first part, the thesis analyzing through the examples at home and abroad shows that media, which unites the advantages of traditional media resources and technology trying to find new development model, is being trend of the world. This is a kind of trend of development of media.In the second part, on the four aspects of team building, distribution, activities and interaction with authors and reader, the article discusses how periodicals, during era of convergence media, through absorbing reasonable factors of new media, do business actively to both achieve social and economic benefits.In the third part, on the three aspects of how to do document handling, how to set columns, and how to prevent multiple submissions and plagiarism, the article discusses how periodicals, during era of convergence media, using the convenience, uniqueness, and science and technology of new media technology, do periodical the work of editing to improve the quality of periodicals and efficiency of work.The fourth part, on the basis of summarizing full text, the article indicates that the combination between traditional periodical media and new media is a kind of benign interaction from each other. It is still necessary to make great efforts on the two aspect of building content with more quality and pay attention to building editorial team to make both sides have active developments.
