Combination Of Paper Media And New Media

Since the twenty-first century, the Internet in China has started an era with itsrapid development. In the meantime, new media has grown up in a fast pace with thisnew era. With the rise of new media platform based on Internet, mobile Internet andother newly developed technologies, the traditional paper media has come acrossunprecedented challenge. Because of new media’s special features of strongtimeliness, plentiful information, powerful interaction and lack of limitation, it hasnot only changed the reading pattern and habit of paper media’s audience, but alsochanged them from passive accepters to positive participants, even spreaders.In this paper, I conduct a research on the instance of Dahe Daily, anddemonstrate the study in more than twenty thousand words, including introduction,mainbody and conclusion. The introduction includes the background, currentsituation, purpose and meaning of the research. In the mainbody, the first part is abrief summarize of Dahe Daily’s development and current situation. Then in Chapter3,4and5, respectively, I analyze the general situation of paper media, new mediaand the combination of both, with the particular instance of Dahe Daily. Bycomparing the individual features of paper media and new media, I understand thepros and cons during the combination of the two patterns of media, as well as theeffort of paper media under the impact of new media. In the end, we focus on thecombined development of Dahe Daily’s paper and new media. Taking its owndeveloping situation into consideration, I propose some feasible suggestions andstrategies for its development on the combination of paper and new media.
