In the research of modern ocean and space field, equipments often work in harsh environments, and also need to save the high-speed,large data in real-time. In daily life, people need handy storage device to backup or transfer data. At the present time, the dominating storage device in market is Hard Disk, which is made up of magnetic disk. Because of magnetic disk and huge cubage, the Hard Disk can only work in safe and stable environments, and can't be applied in embedded system. So someone propose the concept of Solid State Drive. The storage medium of Solid State Drive is a kind of semiconductor chips. Cause of without Mechanical Components, the speed of data-storage about Solid State Drive is much higher, the power is much lower and also have a smaller cubage than Hard Disk. And more important is that Solid State Drive can work in a complex environment. The Hardware platform of this Solid State Drives is made up of 4×4 Nand Flash chip as storage medium, use ARM and FPGA as control chip to operate a pipeline, and the capability of Solid State Drives can expand. In addition, this system have IDE and USB interface, so it can work as data-collection or removable disk. The main work of this thesis is on the base of hardware platform; use Verilog HDL to program the FPGA in order to realize the interface logic of IDE, Data Buffer Module and Nand Flash controller module. Use Assembler and C language to program ARM, and consult the ATA-6 protocol to translate the command which is send by 68013 from host, and Direct the work of Solid State Drive.
