Our country's grain storage has an important role in national welfare and the people's livelihood, national defense, military etc. However, our country's technologies in grain storage exist a lot of serious problem, such as metamorphism and decay. In order to improve the level of China's grain storage and reduce grain losses in the process of storage, the paper studies and designs one new type of granary monitoring system with the purpose of measuring temperature and humidity, balancing warehouse environment. The system is based on wireless sensor networks, embedded technology, sensor technology, and WEB design technology etc.In the first place, the paper analyses the development of granary monitoring system, then designs and analyses the whole structure of the new monitoring system, puts forward tree network topology, designs one simple routing algorithm, introduces the working principle, comprehensively expounds the system design scheme of the granary. After that, configures the development environment for the system master controller node, for instance, installation for Fedora, creation for compiling environment, debug tool set etc. Thus, the next design will be ready.The system is divided into three levels:the user operation management layer, the main node layer and collection control network layer. In the aspect of hardware design, the hardware devices for the system user operation management are mainly some PCS which can access the Internet freely. The main controller node consists of high-performance 32-bit ARM microprocessor S3C2440A and some additional equipment. Acquisition control node uses MSP430 as controller, uses sensor module SHT11 for temperature and humidity measurement, uses wireless radio module CC1100 for the communication between nodes, uses flash memory AT24C512 for storing collector node data. In addition, in the main controller hardware composition. of the node, it also uses the acquisition terminal hardware circuit, but only uses the wireless transmission parts of the acquisition control terminal. According to the nodes'installation position, RSSI and LQI, selects communication path. The system operation management interfaces uses web pages. The administrator can login the management system through the web services, achieve the temperature and humidity measurement and control ventilation equipment for specific spot. In addition, the spot historical data are queried, updated, and deleted expediently.The paper has completed the design of the software and hardware system, realized remote monitoring wireless network system for granary environments. The system is convenient in operation, and It has high reliability, can reduce the loss of grain storage. So the system has great application value.
