With quick development of computer technology, embedded system has become an important aspect of the computer field, and has been widely used. At the same time, embedded database has increasingly shown its advantages, and has gradually walked up from the field of research to a wide range of applications. Among many embedded operating system, Windows CE and Linux have attracted the most attention. Database application development based on Windows CE application development platform is an important part of developing handheld computer applications. Furthermore, SQLite has got much love of those developers in embedded database field for it's small. Fast and the smallest data management, and has a smooth upward momentum.After completing embedded hardware design, left work has relied heavily on the software to realize a variety of functions. Embedded equipment value largely depends on the embedded software. According to the actual application for the same hardware development platform, we can transplant the corresponding embedded operating system and related software to build development platform, and then transplant the corresponding database for real-time data storage and management. The paper does a certain amount of study and research on embedded system and embedded database, then based on Liod evaluation platform completed cut and transplantation of Windows CE and Linux operating systems and their corresponding graphical interface software and databases respectively, finally, accomplished the corresponding database management system design (including following: based on Liod evaluation platform, Linux operating system, Qt development platform and SQLite, completed embedded database management system design; based on Liod evaluation platform and Windows CE operating system, completed database management system design with ADOCE and SQL in VS2005.NET EVC). The paper has practical value for the application and development based on Liod evaluation platform; Meanwhile, to other embedded application development, it has a lot of aspects worth learning for choosing operating system and database.
