The Study Of Urban Newspaper's Reports On Female In New Century

The Chinese females seldom appear in the traditional history culture recordings. In the meantime, the culture symbolism operation power is completely controlled by masculine. However the females'status achieved earth-shaking changes after we entered the New Century. With the development of modern media, urban newspaper has become the mainstream press in China. Females in china, accounting for 48.5 percent of China's population, are almost half of the total population. Whether the females'opinions in the mainstream newspapers can be reported correctly is the media's responsibility.This study uses mainly content analysis, combining quantitative analysis with qualitative analysis, including a lot of empirical methods. It reflects in three aspects:(1)the main female characteristics the urban newspaper reported;(2) the analysis of the report defects about female;(3) countermeasures-the establishment of harmonious media environment.With this kind of analysis we want to dissect the female report problems and errors that exist in the current urban newspaper, and point out the insufficiency of such report. We also want to find the in-depth reasons of the problem, and seek for reasonable advices for urban newspapers. Finally we hope that this kind of newspapers, which draw many readers'eyes, can do better on female reports. With the media and society work together, we can boost the policy enforcement which is about the equality of males and females, so that the female' status can be raised much higher.
