Since the reform and opening up,with the continuous progress of society and economy,people have moved from solving the problem of food and clothing to the level of improving the quality of spiritual life.The demand for the cultural industry has been increasing,and the requirements have become higher and higher.At the same time,the TV drama industry is also booming,showing a thriving scene.Through the unremitting efforts and exploration of the majority of TV people,the form of TV dramas is constantly developing and changing,and the art of TV dramas is constantly innovating and improving in the tide of the times.At the same time,gender issues have always been the focus of scholars’ attention,especially in the television media with strong influence,and gender issues should also be worthy of attention.Television is the medium that people come into contact with most every day.The audience is wide and the role of communication is great.The ideas and concepts involved in it are more likely to influence the audience’s perspective.After experiencing the exploration period of the 1970 s and 1980 s,China’s TV drama art began to enter the development track in the 1990 s,and many impressive works and characters appeared.In this series of works,it is more inclined to show women’s attitude towards life and their image style.Due to the presentation of female images of different characteristics on the screen,female topics have gradually entered the lives of TV audiences.China ’s continuous reform and opening up and extensive diplomacy from ancient times to the present have made feudal ideological powers from closed to open;coupled with the rapid development of the television industry in recent years,women have gradually moved from “the door ca n’t come out,the second door ca n’t move” to the television At the same time,when we see the changes in the development of female images on the screen,we actually see a microcosm of the state of social life.At present,in urban dramas,although female images are gradually enriched and diversified,women still do not fully control the right to speak,and males are still the dominant "first nature".Therefore,the problem of female images in urban dramas needs to arouse scholars and TV series Creator’s attention.Therefore,this article studies the representation and problems of female images in urban dramas and the future shaping path,hoping to provide some ideas for urban drama creators.This article uses the award-winning works(flying awards,golden eagle awards,etc.)since the1990 s and more than 40 urban dramas with high ratings and online reviews in the same period as a sample,and lists the typical female characters as research objects.Studies of social sciences,sociology,psychology,etc.,while using literature analysis,text analysis,and comparative analysis to study the character of female characters in urban dramas from the aspects of personality characteristics,values,and emotional choices,and explore their presentation and shaping.The first part uses the timeline as a benchmark to give a staged overview of the mainstream images of women in urban dramas since the 1990 s.The second part uses urban character in television media for women based on character characteristics,family identity,and roles in social life.The stereotypes of images are classified;the third part analyzes domestic urban dramas from the social,economic,and self-cognitive levels by categorizing the diverse characteristics of female characters in urban dramas,and listing three types of emerging female images;The reasons for the evolution of women’s images in China;the fifth part reveals the problems that still exist in the shaping of women’s images in urban dramas at present,and the path ways that can be transformed in the shaping of women’s images in urban dramas in the future.To a certain extent,it also provides some suggestions for academics to study women’s image issues.
