With the development of information technology, the embedded computer systems are widely used in the industry-automation control area for its real time.reliability and low-cost.The demand for embeded-system are rising.Ethernet is the most widely used network ,and TCP/IP protocol acts as common communication protocol, the two technologies are used for embedded real-time control systems. By this way, embedded system can integrate with mainstream technology of computer network very well, therefore embedded system can be widely used in industry control, agriculture development .intelligence measurement and home network etc.. Therefore, the digital signal processing technology and embedded TCP/IP protocol are discussed and summarized in this paper, and an embedded Ethernet application platform is provided based on speech data acquisition and transmittal.In order to enhance the real-time response performance and digital-processing ability of the whole platform, DSP and CPLD technologies are adopted to improve the system integration degree and reliability. This paper illustrates construction and function of hardware, driving method of Ethernet controller RTL8019AS. The net module, the speech processing module and logic control module are described in detail, which compose the design and development of the speech terminal in this paper.In software design, the paper analyzes the construction of embedded TCP/IP protocol, the content of each protocol, each function module and programming details with flow charts.At last,we integrate the hardware and sofeware.In emphasis,we introduce how the system works.the detailed dataflow,the main program,and the program to test the voice which we used on the host computer. The developing platform realizes speech data transmission with the host computer by Ethernet, completes the primary function of data acquisition and control. Based on the development and testing, test model and test result of every protocol level are described in the paper, also acoustic quality is analyzed. It is verified that the platform, which is composed of DSP and embedded TCP/IP, can meet the mutual need of real-time data acquisition and control.
