This thesis longitudinally as well as laterally analyzes Nanfang Daily's reports on the farm production responsibility system during the early reform and opening-up. On one hand, the thesis expounds how Nanfang Daily gave publicity to this system according to the policies and principles of different periods; on the other hand, it comments on the three main reporting types respectively: typical reports, commentariesand monographic discussions. Moreover, the thesis makes a thorough review on the detailed texts of Nanfang Daily to show out the achievements that Nanfang Daily has made in this publicity battle.Besides making the history clear, the thesis tries to summarize and theorize an essential mode for the publicity of China's policies during the early reform andopening-up, which is preheat and preparation--break-up and high tide--institutionalization--consolidation and summarization--distillation andtransformation. And in every stage there are different dissemination tasks and publicity focuses. On analyzing the reporting types, the thesis also tries to advance a new communication mode, that is "one voice transited by several types". And it also points out the status and function that typical reports, commentaries and monographic discussions have in the policy publicity battle: typical reports are the flesh and blood, commentaries the soul, monographic discussions the arms and legs.By summing up the reporting experiences in this period and making a theory induction, the thesis made an exploration of some suitable communication mode that conforms to the reality of China's agricultural development. We hope this thesis can provide references to our current reports on "three problems" on Chinese agriculture, rural area and peasants. At the same time we also hope it can guide us to understand better the relationship between mass media and social development (especially the agricultural one) in the future.
